Over 10 years ago I took an opportunity to take a few months off from working. I quit my job and bicycled from Boston to Washington DC, then over to Peblo Colorodo, up to Mosula Montana and out to Eugine Oragon. 55 days and about 5,000 miles latter I had memorized a few poems. On the handle bars of my bike I kept a map and the poems I was trying to memorize. Now after all the years I only really remember Lord Byrons She Walks in Beauty, and a bit of the Battle Hymn of the Republic by Howe.

This section of the site is intended to host a collection of poetry that I enjoy.

Another poet that I have spent some time reading was Burkowski. Burkowski is a dark poet who writes about the rotten life he has lived. It was a good poet for a anst driven young man, but now I find little of value in his writting. I guess everything has it's time, and all things have an end.
