From Young Lords
Beast Masters
In the desert and mountains to the West in a region known only as the the Kadin are tribes unlike any found elsewhere in the world. Rooted in ancient magic the Beast Masters of the Kadin claim to be animal spirits trapped in human bodies. These barbarians can pass between the worlds of man and the wild chaos of the animal kingdom. In combat Kadin Beast Masters are unpredictable, capable of taking animal form and having the savage nature of the untamed, few who have ever spent time with the Beast Masters of the Kadin ever return.
Eastern Kingdom
What is now known as the eastern kingdom is all that is left of the once mighty Saventhal Lords. In a land that is not their ancestors the decedents of the Saventhal have built a small kingdom pressed between the resurgent Kings Below to the north, the worn and hallow Kadin region to the west, a vast and hungry sea to the east and an impatient ever growing empire to the south. Here it will start, in an ancient land once ruled by vampire kings and the hungry gods. A land called by a hundred names and known by none is where it has all began and will all end. The lost kingdom, Land of the forgotten thrown the place of the dark within, the dark lord’s roost, the burning lands, or simply to those who pass through it, the eastern kingdom.
Kings Below
The Kings Below are vampire and undead Litch lords who rule the lands north of the Eastern Kingdom. The Kings Below are currently in resurgence after a dark age that began over 500 years ago when these masters of the dead were obliterated by the once mighty Saventhal Lords. The Kings Below ruled much of what is now the eastern kingdom with a society that was dedicated to death and immortality. The Vampire Lords, and mystic Litches were defeated by King Mulgraf and his brother prince Gilik of the Saventhal Lords in a campaign of light and fire. King Suben achieved a near total victory when his holy armies marched north burning every city, town, village and manor. None of the unliving creatures were spared, and victory appeared total. The Kings Below as they are now called fled into the deep caverns and underground labyrinths of the north. Here they encountered other creatures and struggled to create a sanctuary from which to recover. Now after centuries of absence, the Kings Below have quietly returned, claiming a handful of small towns and villages north of the Eastern Kingdom. From here they have reasserted their dominion over the mortal races and are gathering strength and re-learning the old ways of blood, magic, illusion and all too real power.
Elf Kin
Elves and their kin are all around us, they inhabit strange primal places that are pocket worlds, worlds that overlap and intersect with our plane of existence. Entrances into these enchanted worlds can be found anywhere but are most often found at areas of mystic beauty or magical power. Most often found living in small groves, at springs or on hill tops these creatures are not of this world. Most of these small tribes are content to stay hidden from our world but on occasion one or more of the elf folk will venture into our world for woe or weal
Lords of War
In the south along a rock torn coast are a race of impetuous and violent men. They call themselves the lords of war and war is what they practice. 200 years ago The Lords of War were not so much conquered as adopted by the Tipan Empire. Emperor Thuban of the West needed armies for a campaign that had been fought for nearly two score years. The Lords of War were at that time broken into three strong factions instead of the normal dozen or more. The Emperor offered riches beyond the dreams of most men, and he offered honor and battle. The Lords of war became the empires mercenaries, and marched under their own banners into wars so far from home that none knew the kingdoms they would fight or the cities they would siege.
Tipan Empire
Vast beyond knowing the empire is ever growing, ever learning and ever in need of more. The Tipan empire stretches from the eastern shores of the vast sea to a west so far from here none can count the leagues. The Lords of War tell of fighting on other worlds, in caverns deep below and in kingdoms that fly above us on islands that sail with the clouds. The Empire has a system and a process, where it goes Law follows.
