Keeps Grove
Please create a 1st level character with background and send it to me prior to Friday.
You will start as a 14-16 year old. You are in the academy of Martin Founder in Port Suffolk. You are completing your 2nd year of training and preparing for the summer holiday when one final test for the year is presented. At least you assume it is a test. When you entered the academy you were trained in martial, religious, magic and scholarship. For the most part the school is just a way for your family to get you connected with other major families in the eastern kingdom and to receive training in your area of focus. After the first year at school you were among a few individuals that were separated from the main class to create a special team. From your understanding Martin has created three such teams over the last 15 years. The others have all graduated and from what you can tell they have gone on to other family business. Your studies and training has been slightly different then the your other classmates, in that you are occasionally given challenges or tests that are designed to encourage your working together and to solve specific problems or issues. Being one of Martins teams you get teased and harassed by others, but you have been told by your family/guardian that sticking with this program is very important. You had an opportunity to withdraw from the team a few months ago and at that time the team had 8 members, some withdrew but you remained.
It is late June and you have awoke to find a note signed by Master Martin asking you to go to the isle of 'Keeps Grove' in the Bay, and collect Acacia berries and create a copy of the Prayer of the Saventhal. If this is like any of the other tests that Martin has created you can expect to use all your skills. He has given you five days to complete this task. You have no idea what Acacia berries are and are not sure what is meant by a copy of the "Prayer of the Saventhal" would be. Aren't all the prayers in the religious school old Saventhal prayers?
Keeps Grove is visible from the harbor, it appears to be a small set of islands with the ruins of an old tower. The island does not have a visible beach but the cliffs only appear about 20' high.
Night 1
The party explores the Isle of Keeps grove as part of a test set by master Martin.
While exploring the party notices that they have additional visitors on the isle.
The Kings below have landed and killed their professor and guardians.
The group flees to the adjacent isle where the Keep still stands.
Night 2
The party explores the keep and completes the test recovering the Prayer of the Saventhal
The KB depart and the party is 'rescued' by a contingent of the university and the Kings Hand.
Trouble in the Hills
Training at the university under Master Martin and Timmer Tollis has involved a number of additional tests and regular study as well as special training. With your third year complete you are about to enter your graduation year, but before heading to Suffolk you are all meeting up at Elkins Falls for an end of summer celebration.
During last years training you learned some new feats
Group Awareness: You are aware of other party members location and health when they are within 100' feet of you. This feat works even if the party member is out of your line of sight.With an action point you can extend the range of this ability to 100 miles for a brief understanding of distance, direction and health.With an action point you can make yourself unknown to your party members for 24 hours.You can pick one of the following additional featsSpell Transfer: By spending an action point you can transfer a spell that is normally limited to caster to a party member by touching them while castingGroup Combat Training: When adjacent to a party member who also has this feat you both receive a +1 situational bonus on to hit attack rolls.
Scenario 2: Trouble in the Hills
TIME: It is 15 months since Groves Keep. Late September
LOCATION: You are enjoying a 3 day harvest festival and have accommodation at Lord Ferdinand DeSilvas castle and are spending your time at social events on the castle grounds or at the carnival grounds outside of Elkins Falls.
EVENT: You are all attending a harvest festival hosted by Lord Ferdinand DeSilva, Enrique's Father.
Master Martin is not in attendance, but you do have the good fortune to have the local nobility in attendance and the local TiPan representatives.
